How Come?

 The real world is full of secrets, full of mystery. And you are not ready for the surprises. Do I may right? If this so, what can we do?
Hi everyone!
If you want to know my answer, try to read my simple self introduction.

   I’m a person with a dignity in life. And I have pride that will not easily down. In other words, I don’t want someday that they will blame on me, I’d rather to work alone. I have only three dreams that I have to reach. The first one is to finish my studies, the second one is to help my Grandmother to return back the land that was on leased to our relatives, and lastly, even I’m died I want to donate any one part of my body to the disabled person.
   Honestly speaking, my family and me are happy together even lack of financial needs. Though some of brothers and sister were on their job, still the progress of our family is like a walking turtle. That’s why I’m pushing myself not to quit even there are some hard problems that sometimes it makes me to give up. But its okay life must goes on!!!Acceptance and forgiveness is the best way to live happily...

...and its me Romer.

Favorite poet

My favorite poet is William Wordsworth because most of his poems were written relating to nature, and philosophical view about truth and life, examples are:

"In 1814, he published The Excursion as the second part of the three-part The Recluse. He had not completed the first and third parts, and never would. He did, however, write a poetic Prospectus to "The Recluse" in which he lays out the structure and intent of the poem. The Prospectus contains some of Wordsworth's most famous lines on the relation between the human mind and nature":
My voice proclaims
How exquisitely the individual Mind
(And the progressive powers perhaps no less
Of the whole species) to the external World
Is fitted:—and how exquisitely, too,
Theme this but little heard of among Men,
The external World is fitted to the Mind.

I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed - and gazed - but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Resolution and Independence

 I

There was a roaring in the wind all night;
The rain came heavily and fell in floods;
But now the sun is rising calm and bright;
The birds are singing in the distant woods;
Over his own sweet voice the Stock-dove broods;
The Jay makes answer as the Magpie chatters;
And all the air is filled with pleasant noise of waters.

II

All things that love the sun are out of doors;
The sky rejoices in the morning's birth;
The grass is bright with rain-drops;--on the moors
The hare is running races in her mirth;
And with her feet she from the plashy earth
Raises a mist, that, glittering in the sun,
Runs with her all the way, wherever she doth run...

Lines Written in Early Spring

I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.

To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What man has made of man.

Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.

The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure:-
But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.

The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.

If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?

In "Lines Written in Early Spring", nature and mankind are linked but stand for contrasting modes of being. "Tintern Abbey" works its way through self-doubt to a triumphant resolution. "Lines Written in Early Spring" leaves the situation unresolved. If it's a sketch for "Tintern Abbey", it's one of those sketches made by a great master, minor in scale, less profound than the finished painting but with an allure of its own, part of which is a space left open for interpretation.

The idea that it is an imaginary journey, W uses a simile (as a cloud), which likens himself to the lighteness and motion of the cloud (floats, over). So the journey of the cloud becomes his journey. The parallelism of the use of "I" and the third person (they, the waves, ten thousand...) in the first 3 paragraphs make clear that there are two actants in the poem, the poet and Nature. It is an imaginary journey in Nature, which he relates with his vision (repetion of the same verbs : I saw, saw I, I gazed, and gazed).
The journey is supernatural. The poet uses hyperbole (exaggeration) to describe the daffodils. They are transformed into shining stars, as if there were no limit between the sky and the earth. Their personification (crowd, head, dance, ...) removes the limit between the poet and the flowers, as if they were partaking of the same motion of life.

Vistas of Paradise
romer oquendo

Adios to thee my Pagan land- I said
Thou my heart shrinking to mud, no solace
Going far away, o makes me feel sad.

While driven away from your bounty land:
I feel  your breeze, echoed my ear "don't leave"
Great fret, pangs felt my feet seemingly lamed.

I'd get back, but uncertain when will be,
Staring tow'rds the window tears fell down
It's I whom deserting; not 'posedly.

Years passed by realization would come:
I never met another one like you,
Giving perfect care like I am at home,

I missed the times that you succor me then
Refreshing scenery touch'ly ever,
How could I forget home- never lessen.

Fulfilling dreams reason why I depart;
But my soul stay with thee ever more
For you I started, for you is my heart

Going back is awaited priceless gem,
I can not wait to lean on you again:
Grasp the green vast of grass that overwhelm.

Run, hop, fly, swim, dance, sing and shout freely-
O! no one will mind, no one will be mad,
As your mine and I'm yours togetherly,

I promise I never leave you again,
Today and tomorrow I assure thee,
Because you are my all, my life since then.

Form of the poem is TERCET
base from the poem of :
Percy Bysshe Shelley, 1792 - 1822
Similarities of the poem: talks about nature, same form same meter

Ode to the West Wind
I
O wild West Wind, thou breath of Autumn’s being,
Thou, from whose unseen presence the leaves dead
Are driven, like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing,

Yellow, and black, and pale, and hectic red,
Pestilence-stricken multitudes: O thou,
Who chariotest to their dark wintry bed

The wingèd seeds, where they lie cold and low,
Each like a corpse within its grave,until
Thine azure sister of the Spring shall blow

Her clarion o’er the dreaming earth, and fill
(Driving sweet buds like flocks to feed in air)
With living hues and odours plain and hill:

Wild Spirit, which art moving everywhere;
Destroyer and Preserver; hear, O hear!

II
Thou on whose stream, ‘mid the steep sky’s commotion,
Loose clouds like Earth’s decaying leaves are shed,
Shook from the tangled boughs of Heaven and Ocean,

Angels of rain and lightning: there are spread
On the blue surface of thine airy surge,
Like the bright hair uplifted from the head

Of some fierce Maenad, even from the dim verge
Of the horizon to the zenith’s height,
The locks of the approaching storm. Thou dirge

Of the dying year, to which this closing night
Will be the dome of a vast sepulchre
Vaulted with all thy congregated might

Of vapours, from whose solid atmosphere
Black rain, and fire, and hail will burst: O hear!

III
Thou who didst waken from his summer dreams
The blue Mediterranean, where he lay,
Lulled by the coil of his crystalline streams,

Beside a pumice isle in Baiae’s bay,
And saw in sleep old palaces and towers
Quivering within the wave’s intenser day,

All overgrown with azure moss and flowers
So sweet, the sense faints picturing them! Thou
For whose path the Atlantic’s level powers

Cleave themselves into chasms, while far below
The sea-blooms and the oozy woods which wear
The sapless foliage of the ocean, know

Thy voice, and suddenly grow grey with fear,
And tremble and despoil themselves: O hear!

IV
If I were a dead leaf thou mightest bear;
If I were a swift cloud to fly with thee;
A wave to pant beneath thy power, and share

The impulse of thy strength, only less free
Than thou, O Uncontrollable! If even
I were as in my boyhood, and could be

The comrade of thy wanderings over Heaven,
As then, when to outstrip thy skiey speed
Scarce seemed a vision; I would ne’er have striven

As thus with thee in prayer in my sore need.
Oh! lift me as a wave, a leaf, a cloud!
I fall upon the thorns of life! I bleed!

A heavy weight of hours has chained and bowed
One too like thee: tameless, and swift, and proud.

V
Make me thy lyre, even as the forest is:
What if my leaves are falling like its own!
The tumult of thy mighty harmonies

Will take from both a deep, autumnal tone,
Sweet though in sadness. Be thou, Spirit fierce,
My spirit! Be thou me, impetuous one!

Drive my dead thoughts over the universe
Like withered leaves to quicken a new birth!
And, by the incantation of this verse,

Scatter, as from an unextinguished hearth
Ashes and sparks, my words among mankind!
Be through my lips to unawakened Earth

The trumpet of a prophecy! O Wind,
If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?

MOVIE- reaction/ impression, analysis and reflection

 Taare Zamen Par
Every Child Is Special

1 Impression:

            I was amazed with the movie generally. The teacher whom named Mr Ram Shankur Nikumbh is very admirable. He boosted out my eagerness to serve youth. He was able to give the real meaning of a teacher. No matter how co-teachers disappointed him he clashes out from them and look for the means on how he could help Ishaan Awasthi (a child who has dyslexia). After the movie I silently reminisce and put out myself in the shoes of Mr Nikumbh and I found out how hard being a teacher but the passion to help and educate youth doesn’t change my mind. Another thing that enlighten me is when he use his mastery on  how he change and brought out again Ishaan in the world that full of colours happiness and most especially he taught how to dream on again.
            I felt a bit of sadness for the reason that it’s not typical for now a days a teacher like Mr Nikumbh, whom affected with the burden of his student. He also has the capability to know and solve a problem. He never left alone Ishaan to lost in the middle of nowhere, unlike other teachers did. It is an opportunity to watch out this movie because it shows the real flight of a teacher as well as the mind set in changing humanity into its own aesthetical capability.

            The story was started in a descripted way by which the main character of the story was introduced. Ishaan Awasthi a playful, jolly and wondrous child. Since, like a typical child he got dirt, very stinky every time he went back home came from the school. The saddest thing in this child is that he always failed from their quizzes and exams. He also has a problem in spelling and analyzation. That is the reason why he always experience bulling from his classmates until it comes to quarrel, but that’s not the big problem, Ishaan has neurological problem and that is dyslexia. This is an impaired ability in reading or spelling. It is not a typical problem that’s why his parents and also some of his teacher don’t know his dilemma. Addition on it his parents doesn’t care him one hundred per cent. Moreover, teacher doesn’t acquire the total affection or not well educated on how to handle student who are inappropriate way of learning. They thought that the child has a mischievous attitude, dumb, lazy and naughty.
 Probably it tends to punish the child thinking that it will change and learn from it. A traditional teacher, punishment as a form of motivation was very rampant. Unnoticely, the child became more depressed. The time came that Ishaan was sent out by his parents in a boarding school. The parents mind set is that the child will have given more attention and discipline, but what happened, Ishaan was not just mentally destructed but he’s also emotionally affected from separation to his family. He felt emptiness from that school since no one can understand his feelings. He thought that he is worthless no one loves him. He stop from exploration and never been looks like jolly anymore. People who are the source of his strength took away him from them.
            Until the time came a teacher named Mr Nikumbh who is very cool, brought back again Ishaan in a world that full of happiness. It is the time when this teacher knew about the problem of Ishaan that the child has dyslexia but he has an above average of intelligence. From searching from the cause, he founded out that Ishaan has an exceptional capability in appreciating art, he is excellent in painting. Mr Nikumbh explained everything to the parents of Ishaan. Through that Mr Nikumbh uses that capability of Ishaan likewise his mastery to explore out again and to continue him to dream on. Since Mr Nikumbh experience the same dilemma of Ishaan during his childhood, he exerted his effort to teach the child where he is weak on. He uses colourful and artful materials to boost out his interest to learn. The day passes by Mr Nikumbh found out that Ishaan learns little by little. Nikumbh conducted a painting contest in the school and this contest discovers the hidden treasure of Ishaan, from that the confidence of Ishaan became stronger. He won the first place because of the uniqueness and amazing masterpiece. That very moment Ishaan felt happiness, importance through the compliments and admiration of all the people that surrounds him. Finally, his father realises his mistakes. Now Ishaan is not anymore treated as a moron or an idiot, he is now like sunshine on a winter day that lightens up the mind of his schoolmates, families and of course all the teachers.
Like a typical story Ishaan live happily with the love of his family and a very supportive teacher.

11.  Educational Principles in the Movie:

1.     Each child learn their own pace
        That child must not be rush on to understand something. Let them explore their own way of how to gain leaning. It is a matter of step by step learning. Now as a teacher what we can do is to guide them and to give an extra- attention and patience on how to explain everything they wanted to know.
     Child’s nature is very wide in a manner of playing or making their own world out of everything. Motivation like punishment doesn’t help to a child on how to gain knowledge instead it makes the child to be shameful or out of interest to explore Thiers elves.
2. Teaching strategy used by Mr Nikumbh
    He uses the interest of Ishaan to motivate him to learn in some aspect of learning, where he is weak on. By means of activities which is through motor learning he were able to make a blaze of fire from a single spark of light and enlightens not just the mind-set of Ishaan but all the people who witness his heroic deeds.
       Mr Nikumbh is an ideal teacher, he possess a flexible teaching capability. This is not just how to implement a just learning to the student but how to look upon or behind to the problem that could actually hinder the learning of a student.
3.     The table is so small for a wide imagination of a child
      This line is true; it only means that teachers must responsible to know how to express child’s imagination. This is the way how to know their needs and to compare the right from wrong. So much for that we conduct different activities on how to know their weaknesses and strength.
     We cannot just rate students’ intelligence in just simply writing or speaking we must know the different types of learning and to apply different activities on how to enhance it.

MOVIE- reaction, analysis and reflection.

TO SIR WITH LOVE

Ricardo Braithwaite is the main character of the movie. Braithwaite is a black man, who really stands firmly in the midst of discrimination during his times. He also taught students not just the lessons that they have to know in their course but also he taught on how to value their selves and others, more of that, he built to the minds of his students to believe in their own capability. A  Heroic deed to be considered for now a days, No matter how rampant is the racial discrimination on that time he never give- up but instead he focussed on what is need to be changed in the different perspective of his students and the other  people surrounds him.
    First, the behaviour of teenagers who are treading on the path of being extreme rebels, Second human relations and the always complicated teacher-student relations, Braithwaite went through three 'phases' in his relationship with the students - the 'noisy', 'silent' and 'bawdy' phases, all increasing in aggression, Third, The idea of prejudice is not new to any black man alive but what strengthens this theme is that Braithwaite also is guilty of reverse prejudice toward some of his students, Forth, Braithwaite also finds himself embroiled in a conflict between Potter and another teacher, Bell ,and lastly, the students' social background.
     He tried to be friendly during the first weeks of his teaching, but the time came that he needs to be strict and to be firm in managing the students so that he could able to gain respect, He also analysed the social background of his students where more of them are poor and insufficiently from parental guidance and attribution on good conduct. It strengthens his belief that he needs to be straight- laced on disciplining his students that they could only be morally inclined through his concern. he also defends the right of his students even he is not anymore involve in a particular commotion, he finds himself in the position of having to defuse the situation between Bell and his student Potter
     The significance of the theme song on the movie is that, it gives the real connotation of the movie, that there is a noble teacher who really cares for the total transformation of a particular student towards betterment, students who could actually define and classify what is right and wrong and the fact that anyone has potential to be an agent of change, whatever race you belong or whatever trials comes along, still, you are the director of yourself.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE
           I really touched by this movie, as a future teacher I was enlightened on what is the real world of teaching. Touching life of a particular student is a part of hardships that I am about to face in the future. The mark that I am about to left in the heart of the students will depend on what will I do to them. There is a simple way to engrave a positive legacy in their heart and in their mind, and it is to feel their presence which involves not just the things that I may have seen to them, but most importantly is the presence of the feelings that they may have. What makes difficult on this is on how will I know it and on how will I address the different feelings that they may encounter in their lives. I also further conclude that learning is not always come in the teacher but students can be also a source of learning that might acquire by a teacher. I was sad from the tragedy that had been encountered by the child in the story; if I were also in the shoes of teddy I might feel the same thing. I was amazed to teacher because she never gives- up Teddy, she helped Teddy to go back to his real world as a child, and she brings back Teddy in the world of full of inspiration and determination. This is an inspirational deed that engraved in the heart and mind of Teddy.
I was inspired also by Mrs.Thompson, through his open- hearted characteristic she would able to change one’s life. The act that she did was priceless and very unusual in this present time. I am very much lucky to have a chance to know this story and I assure to you- reader, that I will keep that lesson that I have gained in this story. I know in a right time I would able to use this good moral. It moulded me on how to be a teacher in the future, and on what perspective that I must possess in the field of teaching. Students for now days would think what course will secure a better career and life in the future, basically, they would choose teaching profession or education course; out of knowing, in the midst of the course they will found out that education or being a teacher is not an easy profession as they thought. Why I am writing this? It is because I was one of the students who have a thought like that, which I considered now as a misconception. Since I am now in this course and I would able also to watch different inspirational movie that has different dilemma in teaching, little by little it prepares me to be a responsible and forward looking teacher to be. I will be in the battle field where mind and heart is the weapon for me to survive. It is not a typical job unlike others they can do whatever it takes, teaching is a job where you have to balance everything, your personal life, your students learning’s and feelings, relationship between your co- worker and the most important one is your act within the society, all of that aspect should be considered equitably, responsibly and consciously.
